I gather the response was the biggest in a single day to date with the phones still ringing at gone 21:00hrs.!

This advertisement in The Sun on Friday has provided the largest single day response on the phones since The Petition was first launched by Nikki Sinclaire Independent MEP for The West Midlands - Sinclaire is still a UKIP member but no longer sits with UKIP with the racist, violent and
anti Jewish EFD Group - she is joined in this advert by Mike Nattrass & Trevor Colman who also no longer support UKIP's leader Nigel Farage and his racist affiliations.
This should have taken the petition for a referendum way over the 100,000 figure and as all except todays signings have been third party (outside agency) fully checked for duplication, which has been removed, it is good to see the figure well achieved.
Now on to the next level with the distribution of over 50,000 more magazines by post over the next few days with cross party support like this:

May I remind you all of just how much work Nikki Sinclaire has done on the subject of HS" - The High Speed Rail link which she and Mike Nattrass have opposed on TV, in the press, in debate and at public meetings.

She also used Banners to great effect getting a mass of publicity in the media as a result, for an outlay of around £500 the local Council obliged her by making an issue of it, and gained her publicity £10,000 could not have bought!
We note that now that the consultation period is over - Just as when UKIP joined the discussion regarding The Lisbon treaty they failed to join in until AFTER the debate was over.
It may also be of interest to note that Nigel Farage's fan club made absolutely ZERO effort to oppose The Lisbon Treaty in Britain and a quick read of their Manifesto shows that without any consultation they have gone from supporting HS2 in their Manifesto to opposing it after the event!
Is it any wonder that no one in the media take either Nigel Farage or UKIP seriously.
This comment may seem harsh but constantly band wagon jumping, childish stunts and opportunism mixed with endless lies about people and idiots running their PR who are seen as liabilities by professional Journalists and other politicians - it is hardly surprising no one seems able to remember a single press article in their favour of ANY gravitas - The last major piece, despite the cost of PR was, as far as I can remember a largish piece discussing Nigel Farage's testicles!
