Mr Cameron stated in Westminster yesterday that only two options confronted him at last week's summit.
A new treaty without the negotiated safeguards Britain required or no treaty at all.
He rightly chose no treaty.
But with this failure he left his, and the Conservative parties EU policy in tatters. He mistakenly and naively promised the British people that he could repatriate powers from the EU and that he could safeguard British interests.
But such negotiations are not possible with the European Union, -
a Union that blatantly and negligently disregards sensible economic rules,
You even broke your own rules in the Maastricht criteria. Just so your beloved political project of European federalisation could move one step further.
In your negligent actions you cause financial hardship for people across Europe, people you constantly ignore in referendums or deny them even the opportunity to have their say.
Mr President, my country was right not to go along with your economic negligence to protect our interests
The British Prime Minister having had his electoral pledge on renegotiating Britain's relationship with the EU undermined and discredited, has finally faced up to the inevitable by refusing to have any part of this latest doomed rescue plan
Mr Cameron´s EU policy of negotiation is now in tatters and only a referendum on Britain's future membership of the EU is a viable solution.
Democratic integrity demands nothing less.

Hi,

looking through the video record I must say I found it quite impressive to note that without the membership of a group, which has always been portrayed as the only route to speaking time in The EU, Nikki Sinclaire a short time ago during this Strasbourg  week has been posted up so many times by the EU on video!

I gather on one day alone she made 6 speeches in the EU Parliament in support of her constituents and her electorates desire to Leave-The-EU.

When you have finished watching Trevor Colman's video may I suggest you read the arguments both for and against membership of a Pan EU Political Party designed to bribe Politicians with public money (they come cheap, a printer or two & some well fabricated half baked lies from those working for The EU like Mick McGough).

You will find the EU's own documents admitting the aim of PEPPs is towards further integration and making it very clear that PEPP money CAN NOT BE SPENT on National or Party aims beyond promoting The EU.

PEPP money CAN NOT BE SPENT on Party Elections or patriotic Referendums!

It is interesting that at this time UKIP has been sidetracked into yet another internal debacle due to clear lack of ethics, morality or leadership.

It is often said that 80% of the energy dissipated by politicians is used seeking ways to get re-elected - How true that is of Farage's UKIP, where it is clear to the outsider far more energy is put into attacking members, supporters and elected members including MEPs who seek to attack our membership of The EU untramelled with the gutter trash gathered around the failed leadership to provide a dung heap from which the only permissible rooster may crow a backdrop of incompetence to make the weak and failed leader shine!

It seems all too clear that the further the distance from the so called leadership of UKIP the more its supporters get done whilst the core seeking their own enrichment clearly do very little to seek the right to Leave-the-EU.

At least there are now some honest MEPs who have broken away from the corrupt central leadership, its racism, self serving and self enriching squabbling, its childish stunts its membership of extremist groups etc. etc.

If only UKIP's so called leadership had or could establish gravitas not cheeky chappy chicken suits and demeaning insults. If only they put as much effort into doing their job and spreading the word as they do in attacking and abusing supporters, members and MEPs they have failed to convince, failed to drag into their gutter and failed to silence!

Had UKIP's failed leadership shown any signs of leadership they would not now be engaged in trying to stave off High Court Action, obtain money from The EU to pay their self inflicted legal bills, be engaged in a divisive & time consuming argument trying to sell the members on betrayal of Britain in return for money within a PEPP.

In 18 years where is the Exit & Survival strategy? Where is the Training? Where is the organisational structure? Where is the strategy? Where is the tactics? Where is are the briefing papers? Where is the Plan? Where is the cohesion? Where is the nurturing of supporters? Where is, in fact what is the vision?

There isn't even an intelligent, intelligible promotion structure, nor training of speakers - not even a news letter structure.

Even more catastrophic is the fact that there is no funding structure 2 Bookies and a demol;oition Millionaire in 10 years is NOT a funding structure - it is a crass incompetence endlessly putting the party at the whim of a single individual.

If this is the leadership idea of saving Britain then I submit it is time for a Palace coupe as clearly the leadership has been an abysmal amateur shambols!

I tried to find The Strasbourg reports from other UKIP MEPs who may have attended this plenary but without success - Here is the report from Nikki Sinclaire MEP - for all I could find at UKIP web site they might has well have stayed at home - Perhaps they did.

Questioning the President of the European Commission.
One of the advantages I have as a non-attached member of the European Parliament - I am not a member of any political group - Is that I have more opportunities to speak on important issues. Within the political groups it tends to be only the Presidents of the groups who get important speaking time.

On Tuesday I was able to question Jose Manuel Barroso, the President of the European Commission.
I asked him how it might be possible to have common EU policies when time and time again we see an inability to reach consensus on important issues such as foreign relations and security and defence. I suggested that it would not be possible to implement common policy without some loss of democracy for the EU member states.
The President's reply was evasive to say the least. I think I hit a raw nerve.
I was also able to ask a supplementary question concerning pan-European political parties.
He confirmed to me that these parties are an integral part of EU integration, and the development of the EU as a state in its own right.
We must be aware of this, and not be seduced - as some clearly are - by the promise of extra cash if our own politicians allow themselves to be subsumed into these wretched pan-European political parties.

Parliament asks for another €1.9 billion!
At a time of extreme austerity, the EU knows no cuts, and simply asks for more and more....
Galileo is the EU's global satellite navigation system. The project has been beset with problems, and appears to be floundering. Therefore, the taxpayer is expected to fork out an extra €1.9 billion in order to bring the project up to speed. Of course, I voted against this.
Galileo is 100% taxpayer funded, as attempts to attract foreign investment failed. At one point, China became involved, and there was discussion about allowing the Chinese to use Galileo as part of its missile targeting system. When common sense prevailed and this idea was jettisoned, the Chinese moved ahead with their own system - the Beidou/Compass satellites - which are already being deployed whilst the EU's project languishes in the bureaucratic doldrums.

EU tax - another attempt to grab our cash!
Many EU states operate a 'vignette' system of taxing vehicles. The system is likely to be rolled out across the EU, with member states being able to tax foreign HGVs using their roads, if they wish.
The European Parliament's Transport Committee has called for 15% of all revenue raised in this way to be handed over to the EU to help fund their own transport projects.
This is just one of a number of 'EU taxes' that are being discussed at the moment. I shall, of course, vote against every single one of these proposals.
Hiding the costs!
A recurring and divisive theme in the European Parliament is the cost of relocating MEPs and staff to Strasbourg for 4 days every month.
On June 8th in Strasbourg, parliamentarians debated a report on the EU's finances. The report contained a reference to the savings that could be made to the taxpayer by ending the ludicrous practice of having two seats. An attempt was made to quietly delete this reference, and to keep the extravagance hushed up. No less than 282 MEPs voted for the cover-up, but it was defeated, and the waste remains exposed.
I was amused to note that three British Conservative MEPs voted for the cover-up, but then retrospectively changed their vote. This is an administrative exercise only - their original vote could have affected the outcome, changing it subsequently would have no effect. I often wonder exactly what the Tories are really up to in Europe...
Scotch Whisky - under threat
I always enjoy meeting representatives of British industry in Strasbourg, and helping in any way that I can. I was therefore delighted when Mike Nattrass and I had the opportunity to meet with Nick Soper of the Scotch Whisky Association.

Whilst the EU is very precious about ensuring that continental brands are protected - Parma Ham must be from Parma, Cognac must be from Cognac, etc - Scotch Whisky suffers from the fact that the origin need not be shown clearly as part of the product name. If it says 'Scotch Whisky', it is of course from Scotland, but if it just says 'Whisky', then take care - it may be from Moldova, Brazil, or anywhere in between.

Nikki supports British cheeses in Strasbourg


Nikki Sinclaire MEP today gave her support to the £5.6 Billion British cheese industry in Strasbourg.

In 2009 the Sunday Telegraph reported that the UK imported 136,938 tonnes of cheddar the previous year , mostly from Latvia– a record amount equivalent to about half a billion 250g packs.

This is why Nikki  strongly supports the British Cheese Board’s “Check Your Cheddar” campaign, urgeing the British public to check the label of supermarket Cheddar to see where the cheese came from.If it didn’t say it was British then the odds were that it wasn’t!

In the UK we have 700 differently namedb chesses that are packed with essential vitimins such as B12 that help produce red blood cells. 

It is astonishing how much more one can do as an Independent UKIP MEP not befouled by membership of the sordid EFD!

Interestingly you get £40K or so to spend on promotion and use of EU Parliamentary staff rather than a leader who controls ALL the staff and seems not to account for the £76K per MEP who is a member of his group.

It also means UKIP can if it wishes use its 6000 account money rather than it seemingly being used to bribe other members of The EFD to stay in the Group.


With about 30 members of The EFD where are the accounts for the £2,280,000 a year 4000 account?

Did YOU know an MEP is now costed at £2.59 Million a year? Can YOU name an MEP in UKIP YOU believe is worth £49K a week? Can you name ANY Politician worth that?

Did YOU know that in Strasbourg weeks there is no official business on Fridays so many MEPs stay in Strasbourg for the night life and secretaries on a Thursday night and sign IN (out) on the Friday trousering £280+ and until the next time (a month later) the lighting and heating is left on and the fleets of cars just sit idle and the building is staffed.

JUST SO STRASBOURG CAN CON THE TAX PAYERS OF THE EU?

What EXACTLY do UKIP MEPs do for their £50K a week?

Why have only Sinclaire & Nattrass published transparent accounts?
