Hi,
since his stroke, before Christmas, it seems john Bufton has gone into medical purdah.
I am aware that in hospital they frequently come around and ask 'have you passed wind?'

Most people believe they ask in fear that you have a twisted gut or perhaps it has become punctured and is leaking gas internally.
This is entirely untrue - they ask for fear they may have connected you up back to front and created another manager, a politician or a new orifice for comment.
I see Kevin Mahonney is acting as John Bufton's spokesman on Anthony Butchers squalid and dishonest Forum:

You didn't see John Bufton signing in and going home at all.... you saw John Bufton signing in on a Friday for only the second occasion since he has been elected due to having to attend meetings that day (normally a non business day in Brussels or Strasbourg) he then proceeded to work a full day as planned before leaving for home!

Sadly this seems the standard of competence of every aspect of UKIP - what happened to all this much vaunted professionalism Nigel Farage was promising 5 years ago when he seized control of the leadership?
Even if this latest bit of flatulence were true it is irrelevant MILLIONS of people watched John Bufton on despatches sound as if he was on the fiddle like all the rest.
